Spent 4 days at this marvellous ship-like hotel with family to spend the new year. Nope it's not a cruise! :)

What was most enjoyable... Hmmm I would say, the food.. at the various places/malls we went to.

Next to the hotel is some small eatery with lots of stalls. There were fireworks that came on, at short intervals, and that was some great experience, with fireworks booming overhead while having meals.

Today was a day to bai nian! Dressed in auspicious red and set off to give and receive blessings and well wishes for a good year ahead.

Had a good time catching up, it was refreshing, maybe cuz of the overseas trip. Listened to more stories of my grandmother!
